[01]Overview
As vice-chair unit of the China Technical Association of Paper Industry's chemicals committee, Sentai supplies CMC across the paper machine. At the wet end it improves retention, dry strength and AKD/rosin sizing efficiency; in the size press it forms a smooth, grease-resistant film; in coating colours it controls water retention and rheology and carries optical brighteners. Viscosity is matched to your application from 7 to 600 mPa·s (2 % solution).

Which viscosity should I choose for coating colours?+
Low-viscosity grades (roughly 7–50 mPa·s at 2 %) give water retention without excessive high-shear viscosity, which keeps blade coating runnable at high solids. Medium grades suit size-press and film-press applications. Send your formulation and our paper team will recommend a window.
